Personal development is something everyone tries to work on and this is my favourite topic to learn and write about. I love to read good personal development and self help books or articles but from past few times self help podcasts have become my favourite.
There are so many amazing and mind blowing motivational and inspirational podcasts out there that help in personal development and I love how I can get some free education while I am doing things like household activities, work out, getting ready in the morning or going to work.
In this post I have mentioned some of the self help podcasts that I have been listening to for years and possibly count on through the period. Over the years, I’ve definitely found some that stood out more than others.
When you consider the number of hours we put in at work, with our family, at home, and other daily responsibilities, it makes sense that more of us are turning to self help podcasts to fine-tune our lives. They are informative, engaging, relatable, and best of all, you can tune-in when you have time.
And with topics ranging from anxiety and depression to grieving, addiction, and weight control, there’s a good chance you’ll find the right podcast that fits your needs. And the best part? We’ve done the digging for you! All you have to do is grab a pair of headphones or turn up the volume in your car, and get ready to learn from some of the best self-help podcasts of 2020.
If you want to become your best self, the most foolproof way to do so is to practice, as often as humanly possible, being that best version of yourself. And self-help podcasts help us very much to do this.
After all, what we practice on a daily basis, we inevitably get really good at.
If we practice patience, we get really good at being patient in the passing time. If we want to be good at loving someone then we should practice to love ourselves first and eventually we will start loving others. And if we practice self love and appreciation, we get really good at loving and appreciating ourselves.
Self help podcasts are a miraculous outlet to the world of your highest, most profound self. And getting hooked on the best ones puts you on the fastest track possible.
Anxiety and depression are the two most common mental health conditions that people are going through, with anxiety impacting more than 40+ million adults each year. Despite the sheer number of people living with mental health issues, it’s not uncommon for many of us to feel isolated and alone. To help feel more connected and less alone, consider listening to one of the self help podcasts.
1. Happier with Gretchen Rubin : Happier is from the first personal development podcasts that I have discovered and is still one of my favourites years later! When I first found it a few years ago, I binge listened to every episode that was out so far! Happier is hosted by who are happiness and habits expert Gretchen Rubin and Elizabeth Craft. In each and every episode, they share hacks related to happiness and share advice that can easily be incorporated in your life. They share the tips and stories from their listeners and lessons they learn in their own lives to the audiences so that they can also learn from it. They also share many of the tips Gretchen writes about in her books such as The Happiness Project, Better Than Before, and The Four Tendencies. The Happier Podcast was created by Gretchen to share her findings on happiness with the world. She is happier, and she wants you to be happier, as well.
2.Design Your Dream Life : The Design Your Dream Life is hosted by one of my favourite personal development bloggers and life coaches, Natalie Bacon. 3.The Lively Show : The Lively Show is a podcast hosted by Jess Lively and is designed to uplift, inspire, and help you add intention to every day. Jess turned into a life coach from a business coach and business owner. I’ve been listening to The Lively Show for years and it’s actually one of my favourite self help podcasts. She takes some topics that are a little woo-woo, like the law of attraction, flow, and intuition, and puts them on a level that even sceptics can get something out of. I love that because the podcast has been around so long and Jess has gone through so many changes in her own life, the direction of the podcast has really changed and developed as her life has.
4.The Good Life Project : Created and hosted by Jonathan Fields, The Good Life Project takes a real-world approach and features embodied teachers in every facet of life, presenting their views and methods on living a better life. All the teachers have tried and tested this system to integrate more meaning, connection, and love into life. 8.H.E.R Space : H.E.R Space intends to give women of colour a resource to inspire them through the conversation and how they so not consider themselves less than anyone around them. H.E.R addresses universal issues, such as one’s life purpose, through a lens of a particular experience, how one needs to deal with certain issues or problems if they face it in real life and also make you aware of what you are missing out in your life. It’s a valuable and refreshing approach, as these existential topics often aren’t discussed on any platform alongside the nuances of gender or race and no one literally cares about this. Broussard, who is a psychologist, and Lomax, who is a motivational speaker, make for an effective hosting duo. Their subjects range from the practical, such as the importance of assertiveness, to the magic of manifesting your dreams and goals. Listening to their weekly episodes feels like having a coffee with two highly successful friends, and I defy you to leave uninspired.
9.The Minimalists : Minimalism certainly is not a new topic in the personal development world, but Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus are some of the thought leaders in the space. On their website and through documentary they have demonstrated their expertise on the topic. On their podcast, they talk about living a meaningful life with less on Minimalism. They apply minimalism to all areas of their lives. Sure, they talk about owning less stuff. But they also talk about applying minimalism to your diet, to your budget, to fitness, to your relationships, and more. It’s a podcast that really encourages mindfulness and needing less in a society of more everything. Self Help For The Elderly
Self development is the key to the learning which most people think. Mostly self development depends on how we were raised when we were young, what we studied, what culture we followed and what we saw.
But once you are a grown up and get to experience life in person, you realise that you can’t ‘learn certain things after a certain period– like personal growth. And here is where self help for the elderly comes.
Getting that confidence and self development after a certain age is difficult but with the podcasts and motivational speakers talking about personal development and how to take care of our personality this becomes easy for the self help for the elderly. In some or the other way they are guided to gain back that confidence they have and work on their personality.
